Reverend Chris Holliday

Rev. Chris Holliday is Pastor of Music and Worship at Prairie Baptist Church. He resides in Shawnee, Kansas with his wife, Lisa, and their three wonderful daughters, Kristina, Svetlana, and Victoria.

Chris received a Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from East Carolina University.

While at Northwestern, Chris was an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, which was led and supervised by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. After Northwestern, Chris spent two years as the Coordinator of Percussion Studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he began work on a Ph. D. in Music Education.

Over the past 15 years, Chris has served in a variety of music ministry roles. He has led chancel choirs, hand bell choirs, youth choirs, children’s choirs, worship bands, and other instrumental and vocal ensembles. Chris has served churches in North Carolina, Kansas, Illinois, and New York.

Chris is passionate about helping people of all ages worship, praise and connect with God through music, and helping the community celebrate the journey of life and ministry together.
